Magnesia-chrome brick has excellent slag corrosion resistance, high temperature resistance to overheating damage, resistance to vacuum damage, oxidation and reduction, and abrasion resistance. It is widely used in key parts of metal smelting furnaces. In particular, smelting uses vacuum, or acid-base change of smelting slag, or strong oxidizing atmosphere and other smelting smelting furnace working lining, magnesia chrome brick is the best choice. Such as various high-quality steel refining furnaces (RH or DH vacuum degassing furnace, VOD ladle vacuum degassing furnace, AOD argon oxygen refining furnace, ultra high power electric furnace, etc.), large non-ferrous metal smelting furnace (flash furnace, converter, anode) Furnace, calorie furnace, etc., working lining, hot spot, slag line area, wind eye area, flushing area and other vulnerable parts. After immersion in salt treatment, the physical and chemical properties and performance of magnesia chrome bricks are greatly improved. The porosity is reduced by about 7.0%, the bulk density is increased by about 0.05 g/cm3, and the compressive strength is increased by about 30 MPa.

Magnesia-chrome bricks are made of magnesia and chromite, which are formed by high pressure molding and high temperature firing. According to the different raw materials used, it is divided into three categories: recombined with magnesia chrome brick (FMK), directly combined with magnesia chrome brick (DMK) and semi-recombined magnesia chrome brick (SMK).

Physical and chemical indicators

(1) Recombined magnesia chrome brick (KROMAG FMK)

It is made of fused magnesia chrome sand as the main raw material and fired at ultra high temperature. It has excellent anti-oxidation-reduction, anti-overheat damage and abrasion resistance and good thermal shock stability. In particular, it has excellent resistance to slag corrosion and resistance to vacuum damage. Practice has proved that in the vacuum smelting environment, or under strong oxidizing atmosphere, or under intense scouring of superheated liquid, or slag liquid with strong alkaline slag liquid and alkalinity change, the combination of magnesia chrome brick is not allowed. The longest life and most economical lining material to be replaced. It is widely used in vacuum smelting furnaces (such as RH vacuum degassing equipment, VOD vacuum degassing ladle), argon oxygen refining furnace (such as AOD refining converter), ultra high power electric furnace, non-ferrous metal smelting furnace and other critical operating conditions. Parts, such as work lining, hot spot area, slag line area, wind eye brick, scouring area and other vulnerable parts.

(2) Direct combination of magnesia chrome brick (KROMAG DMK)

High-purity magnesia and chrome concentrate are used as main raw materials and fired at high temperature. Excellent thermal shock resistance, slag resistance, resistance to overheating and resistance to vacuum damage. In addition, its anti-oxidation-reduction performance, abrasion resistance and flushing performance are also good. Under the vacuum smelting environment or strong oxidizing atmosphere, or under the strong scouring of superheated liquid, or the slag of strong alkaline slag and alkalinity change, its life is second only to the recombination of magnesia chrome brick, but More economical. It is widely used as a working lining for steel colored kiln. It is also used as a lining work lining brick for chemical, paper and other industries.

(3) Semi-recombined magnesia chrome brick (KROMAG SMK)

The fused magnesia-chromium synthetic sand and the sintered magnesia, chromite or pre-reactive magnesium chrome sand are used as main raw materials, and are fired at a high temperature. The thermal shock resistance is better than that of the recombined magnesia chrome brick, which has the characteristics of low porosity, high temperature strength and strong slag corrosion resistance. It is an intermediate product that combines the properties of recombined magnesia chrome bricks with direct combination of magnesia chrome bricks. Widely used in the colored industry.
